We are announcing a DAY FOR UKRAINE fundraising event on April 9th. The following explanation and attached leaflets provide more information about the event. We humbly ask for your help in this effort to support our Christian Brothers and Sisters in Ukraine.
"A Day for Ukraine"
Greetings Brothers and Sisters!
DMI is pleased to announce a "Day for Ukraine" fund raising event to help meet the critical needs of our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. We are asking our churches to participate with us in this event. The date is Saturday, April 9, 2022. Several of our churches have already committed to participating.
It is a "drive-by" fundraiser with participating churches serving as donation sites for people to drive by and make a contribution. A Methodist Church in the Statesboro area recently held a similar event and raised over $9,000.00.
This fundraiser is a simple one to do. It involves publicizing it as much as possible, then "manning" the donation site.
Attached are two versions of a flier that can be used or modified to promote the event. One is a copy we are putting out around in the Bulloch County area where the Statesboro and Brooklet Primitive Baptist Churches are donation sites. The other copy is one that can be modified to include the name of your church and other appropriate information.
If a "drive-by" fundraiser is not practical for your church, we ask that you adapt it to your circumstances. Perhaps you could have a Day for Ukraine on Sunday.
As you are seeing daily in the news, what is happening in Ukraine is a great human tragedy. A separate PBNEWS email includes a note from Brother Pat McCoy and an update we received today from Brother Sasha Malov. He speaks of their need for help. Please consider this opportunity to help meet this tremendous need.
If you have questions, please contact me by email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or by phone, (912) 541-3454.
DMI is listed with the IRS as a 501c3 charitable organization. All donations given to DMI are tax deductible. Donations can be mailed directly to DMI, P.O Box 69, Culloden, GA. 31016. Make Checks payable to DMI. Please put “For Humanitarian Relief” on your check.
Thank you for your consideration of this effort to help our brothers and sisters in Ukraine. Please continue to keep Brother Sasha and his family in your prayers. The fighting around Kiev is very close to them. Please remember our other Ukraine brothers and sisters in your prayers as well.
Thank you for your past support for this ministry!
God bless you!
Elder Dean Robbins
President of DMI
