MUSIC WORKSHOP 2021
JULY 13-15, 2021
STATESBORO PRIMITIVE BAPTIST CHURCH
That's right! There will be a Music Workshop this year! Our Board of Directors is thankful that the Lord has allowed us the opportunity to hold a modified session of the Workshop. Like so many other events in 2020, we had to cancel last year's conference due to COVID-19. This year's meeting will be a brief, but much desired celebration, reconnecting with those we have missed seeing and with whom we have not fellowshipped since July of 2019!
“Blessed Be The Name”
Job’s praise in spite of the hard times is a reminder to us to keep on singing. The story of Job starts out in prosperity, devolves into tragedy and then in time comes to a restoration. This echoes our situation of pre-pandemic prosperity, pandemic losses and now the beginning of restoration. Job's example of Blessing God at all times, even the tough times, inspires us as we emerge from hard times. Come, let us bless the Lord together.
So, what's different about this year? First, our venue. All Workshop activities will be held at Statesboro Primitive Baptist Church. This will allow us plenty of room to observe proper social distancing! A full list of COVID-19 protocols will be followed. Guidelines for these will be published in the near future. This year's Workshop will also be a closed event, meaning that the general public will not be invited.
What about accommodations? The dorms at Camp Hillview will be open to a certain number of attendees on a first come, first served basis (no other Hillview facilities will be open). We encourage all who can to reserve hotel rooms in Statesboro and surrounding areas, or to commute. More info on that will be coming soon.
And food? Attendees will be 'on their own' for breakfast. Lunch, dinner and snacks will be catered or prepared in individual servings and served at the church.
Our Schedule will be an abbreviated one. Planning is underway now for worship, classes, activities and music! . Watch for details to be announced soon. Attendees are asked to arrive late Tuesday afternoon, July 13. Workshop begins early evening with a Welcome and program. (Dinner will not be provided). On Wednesday, we will begin with our only worship service for this session at 9:00 AM. We are very happy to announce that Elder Randy Waters of the Statesboro Church will be our guest minister and will deliver the theme keynote address. We ask that you be in prayer for him as he prepares for this service.
Classes, music and special programs will continue throughout Wednesday and Thursday, ending Thursday afternoon, July 15 at 3:00 PM. The full Workshop schedule will be published and distributed through our website, social media, Primitive Baptist publications and emails in coming weeks.

We welcome one and all to the 59th Annual Music Workshop! We do realize, however, that some who might otherwise be there might not feel comfortable at this time. That is completely understandable. We would never question one's hesitation after the experiences we've all had over this last year. If you feel you cannot attend, we ask that you pray for us as we endeavor to praise our Lord in worship and song.
